Southbank

About the Site

Southbank is a transformative redevelopment of a 6.5-acre environmentally impacted site along the Chicago River, featuring 2,000 LF of river frontage. The project includes two high-rise residential towers with a total of 884 units, a 2-acre private park, a naturalized detention pond, green roofs, and a newly constructed seawall. It also introduced 272,000 SF of retail space, creating a vibrant mixed-use community. In recognition of its environmental and urban impact, Southbank received the Silver Ribbon Award from Friends of the Chicago River in 2020.
